It is post, they left legacies

Women who made history

Se recordó el primer encuentro de equipos femeninos hace 108 años.
The first meeting of women’s teams 108 years ago.

With a football match at the former Rural Society riding arena, which recalled the first match of the country played by women’s teams 108 years ago in that same property, the Municipality presented the new tourist circuit of Rosary dedicated to women who marked the history of the city. It is the first of 14 posts that the circuit has, places that remember women who left valuable legacies in unionism, the founding of hospitals, the promotion of new pedagogical practices, art and also joining professions or occupied trades, for those years, exclusively by men.

“The circuit values all the Rosario women who have established a struggle to obtain the rights they should always have. In this action what is sport and tourism are merged since the main milestone is a women’s match that was played here “, said the Secretary of Sport and Tourism, Adrián Ghiglione.

October 5 was the date chosen because it was the day that the Fémina club game was played in 1913, with two teams called “Las Rosas” and “Las Celestes “. The players who recreated that match wore those colors, this time carrying on their backs the names of the women who make up the 14 posts of the route. The game was commented live by Bianca Ossola, a journalist who carried out the investigation. The Undersecretary of Tourism, Alejandra Mattheus, said: “With this match the women’s circuit was inaugurated, who paved the way and left their mark on our city.”

The route is made up of 14 posts distributed throughout the city.
