Virtual meeting of Cubans abroad stand out in Italy

October 8, 2021, 7: 7 Rome, October 8 (Prensa Latina) The National Coordinator of Cubans Residing in Italy (Conaci), today highlighted the importance of the Virtual International Meeting ‘Putting heart in Cuba’ scheduled for tomorrow.

The You Tube channel ‘Together por Cuba ‘promotes the event’ by and for Cubans residing abroad ‘, in greeting to the week of culture of the Caribbean nation and’ in homage to those men and women who have written pages of glory in our history ‘, said the organizers.

All Cubans of good will, those who love and build, those who do their part of the duty, those who are grateful, we are called to put heart to that island that is a beacon of light on the horizon, indicated the call.

In statements to Prensa Latina, the coordinator of Conaci, Ada Galano, stressed the relevance of the appointment as a genuine expression of the Cuban residents anywhere in the world, determined to defend the independence and sovereignty of the homeland.

In that sense, he pointed out that the objective is to unite Cubans and demonstrate that in the There are people born in the Caribbean nation “that we are willing to do anything for the country, that we will always support the Revolution and defend it wherever we are.”

Galano He recalled that one day after the meeting, the 153rd anniversary of the beginning of the island’s war of independence against Spanish colonialism will be commemorated, a context in which the Cubans sang, for the first time, the national anthem on October 20, the date chosen in 1980 to celebrate Cuban Culture Day every year.
