Yesterday, Thursday, dozens of settlers forcibly entered Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation police, and performed silent prayers in its courtyards, in a move that Palestinians described as a systematic kidnapping. (This intrusion was the first response to a decision of the Israeli Magistrate’s Court giving Jewish settlers the right to perform Talmudic prayers in the mosque’s courtyards because it does not constitute a “criminal act as long as it remains silent,” according to the court. Commenting on the court’s decision, the director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, said that “all the decisions of the occupation regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque are null and void, as it is a pure right of Muslims in all of its 144 acres.” Nasser Al-Hadmi, Director of the Jerusalem Authority Against Judaization, said that this decision fully expresses the intention of the black occupation authorities towards the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is represented in Judaizing it by developing forms of aggression against it and Desecrated by settlers.
The Israeli move received official Palestinian and Jordanian condemnation, as it grants Jews the right to pray at Al-Aqsa at a time when it deprives dozens of Palestinians and Al-Mourabitoun from entering their mosque, paving the way In the face of more Judaization plans.
The decision is a judicial precedent that publicly legitimizes Jewish prayer at Al-Aqsa, and is a dangerous development in an attempt to change the legal and historical conditions of Al-Aqsa, according to experts.
Palestinians say it is a systematic kidnapping of the Holy City and they demand an official and popular Arab response to this step, which violates international resolutions.
