A prototype MacBook Pro 2021 appears on the web; Some of the features of the new generation of Apple laptops are revealed

Apple has been working on the new generation of laptops for some time. According to rumors, they will start soon, maybe even this month. Today appeared on the web and a prototype MacBook Pro 2021. Thus are revealed some features that would appear on new Apple laptops. We have all the details below.

The prototype appears with the model number DVT-X88102C, where “ DVT ” comes from “Design Validation Testing ”. It is therefore a MacBook Pro 2021 that is still in the prototype stage before entering “PVT / Production Validation Testing”. It has an Apple M1X processor inside, 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM.

However, the new Pro models will arrive with up to 32 GB of RAM this year and even 2 TB of storage. The M1X processor I wrote about a few days ago is also confirmed. At the same time, the new laptops would arrive in 14 and 16 inch variants this year. They would adopt Mini-LED displays, but also a new design, with flat edges. MagSafe would also return for easy, magnetic power. Last but not least, Apple would add more ports, including an HDMI and an SD card slot.

As for the M1X chipset, it would be a CPU with 10 cores, 8 of them for performance and two for energy efficiency. GPUs would have 16 or 32 cores, depending on the version, and the MacBook Pro 2021 would also support upgrades for up to 64 GB of RAM.

If the rumors come true, it seems that Ruiyi Optoelectronics would be the exclusive distributor of Mini-LED displays. Quanta Computer is also said to be the company responsible for assembling the new MacBooks.
