Christmas Eve left a record of COVID cases so far this month of December: the Ministry of Health reported the confirmation of 3 thousand 520 cases of the disease.
The record for the month was just set yesterday, with 3,363 confirmed cases. This is also the third consecutive day in which more than 3,300 cases have been exceeded.
Regarding deaths, the Ministry of Health added that 162 were confirmed, bringing the total to 298 thousand 670 deaths.
On the other hand, active cases rose to 19,628, added the agency, which meant an increase of 1,247.
Mexico City is the entity with the most active cases, with 3 thousand 761 cases. They are followed by Baja California, Guanajuato and Chihuahua.
