Shahid Kapoor took to social media to share a BTS video from Jersey sets. In the clip, he also shows the moment he injured his lips during shoot and had to get 25 stitches.

Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Jersey. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur. With his fans waiting to watch their favourite actor on screen after two-and-a-half-years, Shahid has now treated them to a new behind-the-scenes (BTS) video. In the video, we also get to see the time he hurt his lips while shooting and had to get 25 stitches. Jersey is all set to release on December 31.

SHAHID KAPOOR SHARES TWO-YEAR JOURNEY ON JERSEY SETS

Jersey trailer showed how Shahid Kapoor’s character chases his lost dream for his son. He will be playing the character of a cricketer. Shahid Kapoor had to undergo intense and rigorous training to get into the skin of his character in Jersey. In the bts video, we see him training hard for the film. Towards the end, we also a part where he cut his lip while shooting and had to get 25 stitches. The injury had put Shahid out of action for a few weeks. In the video, we see Shahid mantaining his calm and cleaning his wound and blood. Shahid Kapoor captioned his post, “This one has my BLOOD. #JerseyOfDreams (sic).”Check it out:

SHAHID KAPOOR ON JERSEY: THIS STORY IS SPECIAL

Jersey is the Hindi remake of a Telugu film of the same title. Sharing his excitement about the sports drama, Shahid wrote, “ITS TIME ! We have waited to share this emotion with you for 2 years. This story is special. This team is special. This character is special. And the fact that we get to share it on the big screen with you all is special. I don’t have words to express my gratitude. I hope you all feel what I felt when I played him. Here we go (sic).”
