Teslas can put on light shows after the holiday update

Tesla has come up with special ideas for the Christmas holidays, such as customizing horn noises. The US electric car manufacturer is now releasing its software update V11.0 . This brings among other innovations the possibility of a “ Tesla Light Show “. How something like this can actually look like is shown in an Instagram video.

Software download necessary

As a Tesla owner you can create a light show by using the free open source software xLights loads onto his computer as reported by Gizmodo . In the software you can create light shows and save them on a USB stick . With this, the choreography is loaded into the Tesla and carried out on request. According to a blog post from Tesla the function should be in all newer Model S and Model X, as well as work in all Model 3 and Model Y.

External loudspeakers as a hailer

Tesla has also left a guide for creating light shows on Github . As an alternative to your own handicrafts, you can also use existing choreographies from other Tesla fans. Apart from the Tesla Light Show, the software V11.0 also brings other innovations, such as new games for pauses in loading, which Integration of TikTok or the use of the external loudspeaker as a megaphone . For driving around bends, a camera view of the “blind spot” can now also be shown on the display.
