This is exactly where the Dortmund Economic Development Agency comes in: With start2grow it has had a network of around 600 volunteers over the past 20 years Established coaches who support young entrepreneurs in putting their ideas into practice. Anyone who registers with their idea in the start-up competition can get in touch with industry experts, lawyers or tax consultants at any time and be accompanied. Setting up a company stands or falls with the business plan – and it is best developed together with bright minds. start2grow helps with this project, because as part of the start-up competition, the participants can have their own mentor at their side, who supports them with know-how and networks them. In addition, many free networking events are waiting for the teams: At start2grow-Match in May 2022, founders can base their business idea on the Pitch-Stage and at the same time present insights into the business ideas of others Teams win. The three best teams will receive prize money of 40,000, 20,000 and 10,000 euros for their pitch and business plan – start-up capital that every startup can use. Everyone who is not on the podium will win 2000 euros, a sustainable network and will continue to benefit from valuable contacts. Even after the competition, the network offers all teams contacts to business and capital providers.
