Peach, A321LR operated from 28th Kansai to Sendai is the first flight

Peach Aviation (APJ / MM) announced on December 27 that it will launch the first Airbus A321LR (registration code JA902P) further ahead of schedule from Kansai to Sendai flight MM133 on the 28th. The purpose is to create a system that allows flexible operation of equipment even when bad weather occurs during the year-end and New Year holidays.

The flight schedule is scheduled from 28th to January 11, 2022. Flight MM133 to Sendai departs Kansai Airport at 9:25 am and arrives at 10:45 am. After that, it will be launched on MM421 flight departing from Sendai at 11:30 am to Naha and MM216 flight departing from Naha at 4:05 pm to Kansai. In addition to these three flights, there is a possibility that it will be introduced due to equipment management.

The A321LR service ceremony will be held on January 18th as originally planned. A ceremony will be held before the departure of MM211 flight from Kansai to Naha. Peach commented, “We apologize to the customers who booked the flight on January 18th.”

The A321LR is an extended cruising range type of the A321neo with the fuselage of the A320neo extended by about 6.9 meters, and LR is an abbreviation for “Long Range”. Peach announced the introduction of the A321LR in July 2018, before Corona. The number of seats is 218 per class, and the A320ceo (conventional A320, 180 seats per class) currently in operation and the A320neo (conventional A320neo) equipped with a new low-fuel and low-noise engine that went into service in October 2020. It can carry more passengers than (188 seats per class).

Peach is the first domestic airline to introduce A321LR. The seat pitch is wider than the existing model, and it also has a USB terminal for charging.
