Although actress-turned-businesswoman Gigi Lai(黎姿) is approaching 50 years old, she shows no signs of slowing down. Gigi’s company, Miricor Enterprises Holdings Limited, became a publicly-traded company in 2017 and she has been focused on growing her beauty empire. As the company will be adding three clinics focused on aesthetic medicine, Gigi has been supervising the construction and renovations of her new clinics.
To promote her brand, Gigi invited good friend Fala Chen (陳法拉), who became an international sensation after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, to be the new spokesperson. Understanding that Fala is currently juggling many responsibilities as a new mother, wife, and actress, Gigi especially sent a crew to New York to film the commercial so Fala would not have to travel to Hong Kong.
A hands-on CEO, Gigi participated in every step of the commercial from concept design, styling, to searching for outdoor sets. To ensure the details are perfect, she did not mind the time zone difference and would often communicate directly with Fala. Gigi is very pleased with the final draft of the commercial.
Equally hard at work is Fala, who has successfully transitioned her career to Hollywood. To balance both work and childcare, she relies on the strong foundation that she had built slowly and surely over the years. “No matter how busy life gets, I can still handle it!” Fala said confidently.
