The live-action comedy was written by film producer Vernon Chatman. In the past, he worked as a screenwriter for “South Park”, among other things, and has already received four Emmy Awards for his work. The planned film will “tell the past and present of a young black man who interns as a slave actor at a living history museum. In the process, he discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his family.” It is already becoming apparent here that the comedy with the explosive topic could probably get the typical brute “South Park” humor.
“On behalf of Paramount Pictures and the entire ViacomCBS As a family, we look forward to embarking on the first theatrical collaboration of these creative visionaries and bringing a powerful narrative to global audiences,” said Brian Robbins, President and CEO of Paramount Pictures, in announcing the project. Kendrick Lamar: Fans keep waiting for new music
Kendrick Lamar and his business partner Dave Free have set out to found their multidisciplinary company with the goal of “the creative language to convey to this generation through media that connects us all and makes common experiences tangible”.
But fans will have to wait a little longer for the artist’s new music. The Compton rapper, who has won a Pulitzer Prize, 13 Grammys and six Billboard Awards, last released his own album “Damn” in 2017. However, the soundtrack to “Black Panther” was also penned by the artist. With the song “All The Stars” on it, he and singer SZA were even nominated for an Oscar.
