James Bond: Henry Cavill wants to play a villain but not the secret agent

Daniel Craig takes his bow as James Bond and the production announces to seek his replacement by 2022 . Since then, several names have circulated on social networks and fans have favorites. But we know: a fan doesn’t necessarily know what’s best for their favorite franchise. Many are hoping that James Bond will be played by Henry Cavill but this option seems impossible. The man is far too well known and already linked to several projects requiring great involvement such as The Witcher on Netflix. Still, a reporter from The Movie Dweeb (via ScreenRant ) asked the actor about a possible presence in the franchise. And Henry Cavill has a preference.

If Henry Cavill sweeps the role of James Bond, the actor would love to play a villain if the opportunity arises.

Henry Cavill leaving to play one of the James Bond antagonists

Henry Cavill will not be the next James Bond and admits it half-heartedly. During an interview, the actor was (necessarily) questioned about the possibility of putting on the secret agent’s costume. After all, the man passed the Casino Royale casting but was turned away in favor of Daniel Craig.

But Henry Cavill doesn’t want to play James Bond and has a better idea: to play a villain. “If Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson (editor’s note: producers of the franchise) want to integrate me in one way or another, then I will be happy to talk to them about it, to explore this aspect further” confides the actor during an interview.

Because for the role of 007, it’s too late! Henry Cavill is too well known and committed to major projects. In the past, the man has missed the casting for Casino Royale, recently acknowledging that he “probably could have been better prepare. ”

Ultimately, Daniel Craig landed the role, face of James Bond since 2006. Many fans consider him to be the best incarnation of the character, in front of Sean Connery.

Recall that initially, the press was not very enthusiastic and Daniel Craig received a lot of criticism!
