The Sacramento Kings will listen to offers on several key players ahead of the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline, according to James Ham of Kings Beat.

“Core players like Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes are available, according to a source with knowledge of the situation,” Ham reported.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Wednesday that guards De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton are not available as the team looks to build around that duo.

Ham added that everyone else on the roster “can be had for the right price.”

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Sacramento has been in talks with the Philadelphia 76ers regarding a trade for Ben Simmons. A potential deal could involve Simmons, Tobias Harris and Matisse Thybulle in exchange for Hield, Barnes, Haliburton and two first-round picks, although the Sixers weren’t interested in such a framework.

The Kings haven’t made the playoffs since 2006 and are not on the right track to end that drought with an 18-29 record entering Thursday. It could force the organization to be aggressive on the trade market to turn things around.

Hield’s scoring has dropped in each of the last three years, and he’s currently averaging 15.3 points per game. However, he remains an efficient shooter while hitting 38.3 percent of three-point attempts this season. As a 40.3 career three-point shooter, there could be a quality market for the veteran guard.

Barnes could also provide a scoring boost to a new team. He’s averaging 16.3 points in 42 games this year, shooting 41.5 percent from three-point range.

Barnes has been a go-to option in Dallas and Sacramento as well as a role player with the Golden State Warriors, showing he can help teams regardless of situation.

Holmes has been in and out of the lineup this year due to an eye injury and then the health and safety protocols, but he has started the past two games as he looks to get back on track. Through 29 games, he is averaging 12.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

The seven-year veteran can serve as valuable frontcourt depth and can produce on both ends of the court.

While these players haven’t been able to help the Kings win enough games together, a new location could help each player thrive.
