Geen gedoe meer straks als je wisselt van Android naar een iPhone met iOS, je WhatsApp chats gaan gewoon mee.
Als je ooit de keuze hebt gemaakt voor een Android of iOS-toestel blijf je daar eigenlijk jaren aan vastgeplakt. In eerste instantie omdat je smartphone nu eenmaal een aantal jaar meegaat. Maar ook de opvolger is vaak of weer een Android of weer een iPhone. Je bent er eenmaal gewend en de transitie tussen de toestellen werkt niet echt heel lekker. Gelukkig gaat dit laatste wat beter worden.
WhatsApp werkt volgens WABetaInfo aan de mogelijkheid om chats vanuit Android te migreren naar iOS. De feature werkt als eerste ontdekt in een beta van iOS en nu ook in een beta van Android. Dit maakt het allemaal wat concreter.
Met deze migratie kun je met een nieuwe iPhone, vanaf je oude Android, gewoon de draad weer oppakken als het gaat om oude WhatsApp chats. Wel zo fijn, want niets is zo vervelend als je chathistorie verlezen. Bovendien maakt dit de overstap van Android naar iOS wat makkelijker, mocht je deze verhuizing overwegen.
Het is straks alleen nog even afwachten welke toestellen dit gaan ondersteunen. Android is immers gebruikt op tal van smartphones, van Samsung tot OnePlus en van OPPO tot Sony. Even afwachten dus.
