Weeekly’s Lee Jaehee Tests Positive For COVID-19

Weeekly member Lee Jaehee has tested positive for COVID-19.

On January 27, the group’s agency, IST Entertainment, stated, “On January 25, a COVID-19 case was confirmed among the people at a broadcasting event that Weeekly member Monday attended. Including Monday, all seven members and their staff got PCR tests for the virus. At the time, all of them tested negative.

The agency continued, “After the negative result, Monday and Lee Jaehee didn’t feel well and went to get tested again. On January 27, Monday’s result came back negative, but Jaehee tested positive. She is currently complying with the necessary requirements according to the disease control authorities.”

The agency concluded, “We will be testing again all the members and staff who initially tested negative. We apologize for causing concern during a time when everyone is suffering due to COVID-19. We will actively follow the measures of the disease control authorities and do our best so our artists can quickly recover their health.”

The event that Monday attended was the WATCHA program “Double Trouble,” where WEi’s Kim Dong Han and Hyolyn, who have both tested positive for COVID-19, appeared.
