Taiwan fight in Thailand
The match against Taiwan will be held twice in Buriram, Thailand, on 7 and 11 October 2021. The plan is that the Indonesian national team group will leave for the White Elephant Country on Sunday (3/10).
If they beat Taiwan, the Indonesian national team will qualify for the third round of the 2023 AFC Cup Qualification. The Garuda squad will join the 22 teams that have already secured a place.
Later on, as many as 24 teams will compete for the remaining 11 slots to AFC Cup 2023. This event will take place in China, on June 16-16 July 2023.
Besides the Indonesian and Taiwanese national teams, there are two countries that are also playing in the 2023 AFC Cup Qualifying Play-offs. The two countries are Guam and Cambodia.
