Die Sängerin hat erfahren, dass ein fremder Mann mit seinem Auto in ihr Haus in New York gefahren ist. Der Fahrzeugführer war offenbar betrunken und hat die Kontrolle über sein Fahrzeug verloren.
Augenzeugen berichten, dass der Unbekannte im Stadtteil Tribeca in die falsche Richtung unterwegs war und dann direkt in das Wohnhaus der Sängerin gecrasht ist. Daraufhin soll er noch – erfolglos – versucht haben, sich Zugang zum Haus von Swift zu verschaffen, wie die Nachrichtenagentur AP berichtet. Ob die 32-Jährige zum Zeitpunkt des Unfalles zuhause war, ist nicht bekannt.
Ob der Mann mit Absicht in das Haus des Popstars gefahren ist, steht noch nicht fest. Es wäre jedenfalls nicht das erste Mal, dass die „Shake it off“-Interpretin mit einem Eindringling zu tun hat. Vergangenen April nahm die Polizei einen mutmaßlichen Stalker fest, der versucht hatte, in das New Yorker Apartment des Popstars auf unerlaubte Weise einzudringen. Im Juli 2019 konnte nahe einem Haus der Musikerin im Bundesstaat Rhode Island ein Mann mit Einbruchswerkzeug überführt worden.
