Two people died in an apartment building fire, and one was injured
In Drohobych, Lviv region, two people died in a house fire, as well as one traumatized. This was reported in the press service of the SES in Lviv region.
The fire took place on the night of January 24, at 04:40 am
Rescuers arrived report of a fire in Drohobych, on Pidvallya Street, Drohobych district.
“The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor of a two-storey wooden apartment building, covered with slate, size 10×10 m. At the time of arrival of firefighters to the scene of the call, the entire roof of the house was engulfed in flames. Without wasting time, the firefighters joined special respiratory and visual protection devices and went to inspect the smoky house. During the reconnaissance, the bodies of two dead people were found in one of the rooms. The father (born in 1946) and the mother (year of birth) of the owner of the house were killed, “the press service of the State Emergency Service reported.
As a result of the fire, the owner of the apartment, a 37-year-old man, was also injured and hospitalized in Drohobych City Hospital with signs of combustion poisoning.
At 05:11 the firefighters localized the fire, and at 05:44 they extinguished it.
Causes and circumstances of the fire clarified by law enforcement agencies.
