A curious find from the Bronze Age was discovered in Germany

B Bronze Age scabbards and sickles have been found in northern Germany, DPA reported.

“There is no doubt that these are tools from the late Bronze Age, from 1500 – 1300 BC, some of which were used and are still quite sharp”, said archaeologist Mehtild Freudenberg of the museum in Schleswig.

An unsolved mystery: Archaeologists have discovered a mysterious statuette

The items were found in late September by two people who had legally used metal detectors. They worked with permission from the owners of the land near the town of Fardorf.

Later, a team of archaeologists found four axes, a spear and seven sickles, which were scattered throughout the field as a result of agricultural activities carried out over the years. Objects were also found in one place.

According to experts, the tools were collected together about 3400 years ago for storage, but have not been excavated since.
