The businessman Orce Kamchev, accused in the “Plots of Water” case, is being released from the “Skopje” prison in Shutka, “A1on” reported. The Criminal Council of the Court of Appeals decided to accept the bail of almost 11 million euros, and the court will keep Kamchev’s passport.

According to the Appeal, the mortgage registration procedures must be completed, after which Kamchev will defend himself

Considering that he has been receiving treatment at Sistina Hospital for several days, where he is celebrating the New Year, Kamchev on will not return to prison, but will be able to return immediately after treatment.

Kamchev, one of the richest businessmen in northern Macedonia, has Macedonian and Bulgarian citizenship. In 2018, he was proposed to be the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Ohrid, but Macedonia was refused due to the cases against him.

He is main owner of the media giant MPM, published “Utrinski Vestnik”, “Vest” and “Dnevnik”. All three editions were a mouthpiece of Macedonianism and anti-Bulgarianism. Kamchev was also one of the sponsors of the anti-Bulgarian party VMRO-DPMNE during the time of Nikola Gruevski
