This trick-or-treating gem promises to protect against 5G waves … The mineral it contains is radioactive.

Kezako: what are the effects of radioactivity on matter? Radioactivity is a physical phenomenon naturally present in ‘Universe. It is due to unstable atomic nuclei which disintegrate and give off various more or less pathogenic radiations. Unisciel and the University of Lille 1 enlighten us, with the Kezako program, on the risks and effects of this radiation.

With the deployment of the 5G , there was first political debates around the risks of this new generation of network. Since then, the anxiety-provoking side around this famous 5G has persisted despite the publication of scientific studies on the subject. And then there are also the conspiracy theories the most eccentric around vaccines RNA and virus spread by this 5G .

Covid-19 or not, for each generation of mobile network , smart people have bet on the concerns of users to sell accessories supposed to absorb the ugly waves of cellular telephony. 5G is no exception and various accessories or charms are marketed, sometimes at exorbitant prices. Obviously, none of these products, sold for the most part on the Internet and in particular on Alieexpress and Amazon, have proven to be of any kind whatsoever.

Radioactive charms

The latest fashionable accessories are magic stones. Sold between 5 and 75 euros, these fetishes consist of minerals from China. They are represented in the form of amulets, necklaces, bracelets or jewelry of various shapes. This is particularly the case with the “Quantum Pendant” pendant. In addition to capturing the evil waves, it would also come to ensure the protection of health, improve well-being and, of course, booster the immune system to have coronavirus .

It turns out that instead of capturing the waves of 5G, these magic stones radiate.

In any case, this is explained by a study published by the Dutch Nuclear Safety Authority . Yes “nuclear”, because these grigris would give off ionizing radiation, in other words radioactivity . The organization has also listed nine other products of the same style (mask of sleep, necklaces, bracelets) that are radioactive.

At the end, the level of broadcasts is without risk, because it is really weak, but if it is a jewel worn permanently, the radiation absorbed into the body may exceed health limits. Even if it means believing in the protective virtues of such a Chinese amulet, you might as well bet on minerals available in France, such as Breton granite known for its radioactivity.
