A tourist died in the popular Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda on Tuesday. safari left the vehicle and moved slightly away from his group. A group of Saudi tourists stopped at some point, as some of them were already in a lot of pressure.
Against the group , which also included Ayman Sayed Elshahany , a herd of elephants started. Because Elshahany was a little further away from the car and the rest of the tourists, he was unable to escape to safety. According to the spokesperson of the National Park Bashir Hangi was dead on the spot. The park added that they would check and, if necessary, update the safety protocols so that “such events would not happen again. The case is also being investigated by the police.
This is far from an isolated death in Uganda’s national parks. In 2018, for example, in another national park, a leopard grabbed the three-year-old son of a local forest ranger, dragged him into the wild and ate him.
