Aharen-san Streams a New Trailer Introducing its Eccentric Characters

It looks like the spring 2022 anime season will be full of unusual comedies, and Aharen-san wa Hakarenai might be at the top of the genre. With an indecipherable protagonist and equally crazy side characters, the upcoming anime is sure to be a riot.

Aharen-san, the protagonist, has a problem understanding personal space. What does it mean? Well, she will look aloof, and then suddenly, she will cling to you all day long (literally).

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai will grace comedy lovers with its debut on April 1, 2022. Its latest trailer will give you all the details you need to know how weird the characters can get.

This video clears up just how oblivious Aharen-san is about personal space. Her classmate is confused about whether she is actually his friend or not. If she sticks to you like glue on one day and sits at the farthest end of the class the other, you’d be confused too.

The school teachers are equal amounts of crazy, but at the same time undeniably cute.

“Hanarenai Kyori,” the anime’s opening theme song by TrySail, is also previewed in the trailer. Three new cast members have been revealed for the upcoming anime:

Hanako SatōTomori KusunokiNeiru Aonuma (Wonder Egg Priority)
Ms. MiyahiraYurie KozakaiPekora (Dropkick on My Devil!)

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is an anime with weird but likable characters, and I can’t wait to see such a unique MC in action. Will Aharen-san be able to make friends in the upcoming series? I hope she slowly learns to be friends with people without breathing down their necks.

About Aharen-san wa Hakarenai

Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Asato Mizu. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service in January 2017, and has been compiled into eleven tankōbon volumes.

The story follows the “indecipherable” daily life of the short and quiet Reina Aharen and Raidou who sits next to her in class. Aharen is not so good at gauging the distance between people, and Raidou initially sensed some distance between the two of them.

Then one day, when Raidou picked up the eraser that Aharen had dropped, the distance between them suddenly became uncomfortably close.
