Allford Hall Monaghan Morris has submitted a plan for two towers, standing at 34 and 37 storeys, by Canada Water in south London.
The towers sit in the Canada Water masterplan, which is being developed by British Land and was masterplanned by Allies and Morrison, reports Will Ing for Construction News’ sister title the Architects’ Journal.
AHMM’s proposed scheme features 410 homes across the two towers. A nine-storey podium at the base of one of the blocks will contain 37,500 square metres of office space alongside 2,000 square metres of ground-floor space for flexible commercial use.
The buildings will be separated by a pedestrian walkway but connected underground. They will include six landscape roof terraces for residents and workers. The planning application also includes plans for new trees and other landscaping along the surrounding streets.
The towers will have 31 studio flats, 132 one-bed homes, 209 two-beds and 38 three-bed apartments. None of the homes will be affordable, but British Land is developing another block of 79 homes as part of its Section 106 obligations for Canada Water.
