Eleven U.S. sailors injured in US Navy nuclear submarine collision with underwater facility in Indo -Pacific region, reports “US Navy”.
– 11 sailors were injured in the incident. They suffered minor or moderate injuries – it is stated in the announcement.
(The Navy did not specify what object the submarine collided with, but according to preliminary data, it is not a collision with another submarine or ship. The submarine, which did not issue an SOS signal, is moving towards the base in Guam, where it should arrive on October 8.
Earlier, the US Navy announced that the incident with the US strike nuclear submarine “Connecticut” happened on October 2 in the waters of the Indo-Pacific region, that the submarine is in a safe and stable condition and that the collision did not damage the submarine’s nuclear propulsion.
