Lustenau wrestles Zell am See down
EHC Lustenau and EK Die Zeller Eisbären fought a tough fight. In the end, Lustenau prevailed 4: 3 after overtime in front of 581 spectators. When Remy Giftopoulos made his debut on the side of the EHC, Vorarlberg had to chase both a 0: 1 and a 1: 2 deficit. In the 34th minute of the game, Max Wilfan brought the hosts into the lead for the first time (3: 2). The Slovenians’ goals against the Broncos were scored by Aljosa Crnovic (9th), Saso Rajsar (44./PP2), league top scorer Eric Pance (48./SH1) and Ziga Urukalo. In the eighth game of the season it was the seventh win for Jesenice, who still have three points ahead of Asiago in the table. Sterzing is in seventh place in the table. Their yield so far: four wins and two defeats.

EC-KAC Future Team surprises Feldkirch
The EC-KAC Future Team celebrated a surprising 2-0 home win over BEMER VEU Feldkirch. For the Klagenfurters it was the second win of the season against Vorarlberg, who are still waiting for their first full success of this season. In the sixth minute of the game, Nikolaus Kraus gave the home side the lead. Tobias Sablattnig increased to 2-0 in the 44th minute of the game. Shootout success for Steel Wings Linz
The Steel Wings Linz fought the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 4: 3 after a shootout. The Upper Austrians got a lightning start in front of 521 spectators. After just eleven seconds they took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Laurin Liesch. They doubled the narrow lead in the 26th minute of the game. Kitzbühel was able to equalize in the middle third. In the final section, the home side again took the lead through Iacopo Granza (46th), but 52 seconds before the end of the game, the guests were again able to equalize through Patrik Kittinger. In the shootout, Kevin Farren converted the decisive penalty in favor of the Steel Wings, who celebrated their second victory in the fifth game of the season.

Asiago wins Derby I Merano / o celebrates last second victory
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey won the derby against SG Cortina Hafo with 4: 1 without any major problems. 2022年1月23日16時0分 平野海祝(2018年5月20日) 「目標は東京五輪ではなく、北京五輪です」。そう平野海祝(かいしゅう)が言ったのは18年5月、スケートボード・パークの第1回日本選手権の会場でだった。平昌オリンピック(五輪)銀メダルの兄歩夢がスケボー挑戦を表明する前、弟はひと足早くスケボー日本一を決める舞台に立っていた。8対2の割合でスノボに力を入れていたが、東京五輪でのスケボー実施が決まり、兄同様に「スルーするわけにはいかなかった」のかもしれない。本格的な練習はわずかながら6位に食い込むと「緊張したけれど楽しかった。スケボーも頑張りたい」と前向きだった。当時「歩夢の弟と言われるのは嫌」と苦笑いで口にしたが、言葉には兄への尊敬があふれていた「すごいと思う」「とてもかなわない」…。夏も、冬も、歩夢の背中を追いかけて目指した。そして、北京で初めて兄弟五輪出場を決めた。歩夢にとっても、海祝の存在は大きかったはず。スケボー挑戦は自然の流れとはいえ、国内大会では海祝と一緒に行動していた。弟のはるか前を走っていたスノボと違って、スケボーでは同じ「挑戦者」。4歳下の仲の良い弟は、過酷な挑戦の支えになったはずだ。スノボのハーフパイプでは、女子の冨田姉妹も出場を決めている。平野兄弟と同じように幼少期から2人で成長してきた。今月8日のW杯では妹のるきが初優勝し、姉のせなが3位で表彰台に並んだ。平野兄弟同様に、冨田姉妹も2人でメダルを目指している。スノボの2組だけでなく、今大会は兄弟や姉妹の出場が目立つ。平昌大会で初の姉妹金メダリストとなったスピードスケートの高木菜那、美帆は北京でも金メダル候補。カーリングの吉田知那美、夕梨花姉妹も連続メダル獲得を目指す。スキージャンプの小林兄弟、複合の渡部兄弟、ショートトラックの菊池姉妹、アイスホッケーには床、志賀、山下と3組の姉妹がいる。実に計10組20人。東京五輪は11組23人だったが、日本選手団の選手総数は583人。今回は122人だから、6分の1が兄弟、姉妹ということになる。東京五輪では柔道の阿部一二三、詩の兄妹が同日金メダルに輝いた。レスリングの川井梨紗子、友香子姉妹も金メダルを獲得した。きょうだいでの同一大会金メダル獲得は、平昌五輪の高木姉妹に続く2例目と3例目。東京では「きょうだい」の活躍が目立った。新型コロナの影響で行動が制限され、その間に家族の絆は深まった。東京五輪での兄弟、姉妹の活躍は、決して偶然ではないだろう。仲間やコーチとも離れなければならない状況で、兄や姉、妹や弟の存在がどれだけ力になったか。阿部きょうだいや川井姉妹の言葉にも、兄や姉、妹への感謝があふれていた。北京も同じだ。新型コロナの新株の影響で、どんな大会になるのか見当もつかない。選手の不安は小さくないと思うが、そんな時に頼りになるのが家族。両親らのスタンドからの応援はないが、きょうだいが身近にいれば心強い。力になることは間違いない。平野兄弟、高木姉妹、小林兄弟、吉田姉妹…、平時とは違う特殊な大会になるからこそ、最も身近で励まし合い、支え合う存在が大切になる。東京五輪に続いて、北京五輪も「きょうだい」の大会になる。新型コロナ禍だからこそ、その絆が大きな力になる。【荻島弘一】(ニッカンスポーツ・コム/記者コラム「OGGIのOh!
