Alter Age lets you switch between teenage life and adulthood across an old-school JRPG, out now
  • Switch between preteen characters and their adult forms
  • Change your skills based on your age
  • Discover different age-based personalities

Kemco has announced the official launch of Alter Age, inviting everyone to dive into some old-school JRPG feels on iOS and Android. This retro-inspired title spices things up a little by introducing a party of adventurers whose ages change, so you can look forward to interesting personality switches thrown into the mix while you’re discovering the quirky narrative.

In Alter Age, you’ll step into the shoes of the young protagonist Arga, who happens to stumble upon the class Soul Alter that lets him change his and his partymates’ forms. You’ll alternate between preteen life and adulthood with varying personalities, adding a fun little twist to your average world-saving quest.

These alternating ages come into play during combat as well, where adult forms offer different skill sets from preteen forms. Juvenile characters have more powerful abilities but use up more resources, while grown-up forms offer more efficient skills that thrive in providing support. All of these are presented in pixel-art visuals that might just make you feel all kinds of nostalgia for the good ol’ days of RPGs.
