For over 12 years and 120 episodes, American Horror Story has subjected audiences to countless terrors. We’ve seen murder houses, freak shows, “bitchcraft,” and numerous characters played by Lady Gaga. The latest (and twelfth!) season in the Ryan Murphy franchise, titled Delicate, will add Kim Kardashian to his cabinet of horrors.
Playing a blasé publicist for actress Anna Alcott (Emma Roberts), Kardashian joins a cast that includes Michaela Rodriguez, Cara Delevingne, and Dennis O’Hare. This season will deviate from Murphy’s crafted world to follow the plot of Delicate Condition, a novel by Danielle Valentine. Murphy also passed showrunning duties to Impeachment: American Crime Story‘s supervising producer, Halley Feiffer—while he focuses on his Monster serial killer anthology, The Watcher, and plans for even more American Crime Story.
Judging by the premiere episode, it appears that Delicate will cover the story of Alcott’s struggle with IVF and her fear that her child will be born as a giant spider. Creepy! Rosemary’s Baby vibes, anyone? AHS fan-favorite Zachary Quinto will also make an appearance this season.
