Americans Abroad Weekend Rewind: Ream, Richards, and more

Fulham enjoyed a winning end to the English Premier League season on Sunday with veteran defender Tim Ream earning his first start since February.

Ream started and played 90 minutes as Fulham defeated Luton Town 4-2 at Kenilworth Road. The U.S. men’s national team centerback made his first appearance since Feb. 17, winning six duels, making four clearances, and drew two fouls.

The Cottagers failed to win any of their last four matches prior to Sunday’s season finale, but concluded their campaign in a big way to finish 13th in the league table.

Ream will now hope to be part of the USMNT’s Copa America squad this summer on home soil.

Elsewhere in England, Chris Richards and Crystal Palace earned a top-half finish. Auston Trusty and Sheffield United lost at home to Tottenham.

In Germany, Kevin Paredes scored for Wolfsburg. Brenden Aaronson helped Union Berlin fight off Bundesliga relegation. Lennard Maloney went the distance for Heidenheim.

Elsewhere, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Celtic lifted the Scottish Premiership title. Bryan Reynolds and Westerlo fell at home. Alex Mendez featured for Vizela. George Bello and LASK were hammered by Red Bull Salzburg.
