Antonee Robinson and Chris Richards both earned points in their 2024 finales on Sunday as Fulham and Crystal Palace continued English Premier League play.
Robinson registered one assist and played 90 minutes as Fulham tied Bournemouth 2-2 at Craven Cottage. The U.S. men’s national team defender set up Harry Wilson in the 72nd minute to give Fulham a then 2-1 lead. However, Bournemouth would snatch a late point before stoppage time to share the spoils.
Robinson finished 2024 as the only EPL defender to register 10 assists or more in league play. He now has seven this campaign for the overachieving Cottagers.
Richards and Crystal Palace enjoyed a winning end to the year after the South London club defeated last place Southampton 2-1 at Selhurst Park. The USMNT defender has made starts in two of his last three appearances as Palace moved six points clear of the relegation zone.
The 24-year-old won four duels, drew one foul, and made two interceptions as Oliver Glasner’s men claimed their first home win since October 27.
In England, Brenden Aaronson scored the winning goal for Leeds United at Derby County. Tyler Adams missed Bournemouth’s draw due to a small muscle injury.
In Italy, Weston McKennie continued his left back role for Juventus. Tim Weah did not featue.
In Scotland, Cameron Carter-Vickers started as Celtic rolled past visiting St. Johnstone. Dante Polvara continued his way back in the Aberdeen squad, but the visitors lost at Dundee United.
