An accident took place on the national road number 50 between Kołbielą and Góra Kalwaria on Friday evening. A truck collided with a passenger car in the area of Ostrówek. Police said two people were injured.
The accident happened around 7 pm on the national section “50” in the Ostrówek region, in Otwock poviat, about one kilometer from the bridge over the Vistula. – There was a road incident involving a passenger car and a truck. Only a driver traveled in a truck, while two people were driving in a passenger car – informs Maciej Łodygowski from the fire brigade in Otwock. – Our activities consisted in securing the scene of the accident and providing qualified first aid. There was no need for specialized equipment to access people in the vehicles. The participants left them on their own – he adds.
Gabriela Putyra from the Warsaw Police Headquarters told us that two people were taken to the hospital and the drivers of the iveco and citroen were sober.
The fire brigade and ambulance services have already ended at the accident site. The police are still carrying out their activities. “The movement is swinging,” warns Putyra.
