Didn’t you plan on a sports career
Originally yes, I have been doing figure skating and ballet since I was a child, for a total of about twelve years. But then I found out that I probably wouldn’t make a hole in the figure skating world. I have always skated mainly for fun and I did not have such great ambitions to work even harder, and thus had a chance to succeed in the huge competition that is in this sport in the world. And it was also quite time and money consuming …
How much time did you sacrifice?
Two hours on the ice every day , and in addition we had some “dry” training, strengthening and running. I definitely finished figure skating at about the age of fifteen, when I left my native Pardubice to study at the International Acting Conservatory in Prague
she couldn’t handle it anymore. So my long-term efforts have faded over time, but recently came back to me when I used skating in the Netflix series.
Did you at least have a hobby?
I don’t have time for skates at all, and when I went to the casting, I didn’t stand on them for four years.
That’s quite a long time.
Fortunately, it is not forgotten, although I would not perform any double jumps. I actually dared only because they were not looking for figure skaters directly, but actors, and the experience with skating was an advantage. They wanted us to be as credible as possible. Before filming in England, we trained for two months a day, and what we managed during that time, we tried to make the most of in front of the camera
How did you get into that role? Did you long to shoot abroad and avoid castings?
No, it was actually a huge coincidence. Netflix did castings all over Europe, so here too, and I was approached by an agency, precisely because of my figure skating past.
Until the age of fifteen, she devoted herself to figure skating, in the end she preferred acting. In the British series Heart of Ice, however, she was able to use her skills on ice

In the first round we only shot videos for the casting, but I felt absolutely terrible, and I almost didn’t send it.
Why?
As an actress, I first came into contact with a text in English and it seemed very difficult to me. But in the end I said to myself: “What can happen, at most they won’t call you!
And they called.
I was from quite surprised. Suddenly a director was supposed to come to Prague from England and he wanted to see us in person … And I realized that he was going hard
It almost sounds like it surprised you ()
It is true that I didn’t really want the role because I was very scared of it. (laughs)
If only another casting came on set now abroad, shouldn’t you have him?
She should. But a little smaller, because I got a little worn out.
“Fortune favors the prepared! My parents have hammered this into my head since I was a child, that as a good pro I always have to be ready. ”

How was it when shooting with the language, did you stop being afraid too?
I didn’t speak English in any special way and I didn’t even believe in it. Although they required perfect English at the casting, I learned the lyrics as a poem at the time. I understood the director’s instructions, so it went well and they didn’t test my language anymore.
When I came to England, I just jumped into the water. I was the only Czech there, and if I hadn’t communicated with anyone for six months, I would definitely go crazy. I had to talk.
Coincidentally, your character will go from figure skating to hockey. Didn’t you feel completely lost in the hockey goal during your minor constitution? but it was great. At first I trained as a player in the field to learn how to handle a hockey stick, I was pushed into the gate only then.
Until then, I thought it was worse in the field , because you fly a lot on the ice, but I changed my mind very quickly. From the training sessions I then went completely wet, as sweat poured out of me, and completely done. My knees hurt, my back hurt, everything.
Didn’t you get a puck?
She got. Once we had just a short free practice without protectors, one boy accidentally picked up the puck and inadvertently shot me from the side under the knee. I jumped, and before I pulled myself around the corner, I just thought about not crying in front of everyone. I seemed to be on my knees. But the next day I was on the ice again. I have nothing else left.
Are you tempted to work harder now?
I’m on dragonflies. As I know, if there was another great opportunity, I certainly wouldn’t say: No, I’d be fine, I’d rather stay home! But that I would now start touring Europe and going around castings to find another job, that’s not it. What comes comes
Like a little girl she made several commercials, and at the age of seven she got a role in the series Tell. In the photo with his acting colleague Oldřich Vlach

What brought you from skates to acting in general? so I was close to it as a little girl, I liked it. Although I didn’t go to the playwright, before rehearsals for the conservatory, I started preparing for the actress Petra Janečková from the Pardubice theater. I had to add piano and vocals to that. I didn’t have time for anything else then, because I was still flying somewhere on the ice. As a little girl, I enjoyed filming. absolutely everything because I could be on the set with all those adults
How many commercials did you shoot before you got to your first major acting role in Tell? And do you remember any of them?
As a little girl, I enjoyed filming. absolutely everything because I could be on the set with all those adults
I think there were eight of them. I probably remember the ad for Granko, directed by Jakub Kohák. He was able to do it with the children.
What comes to your mind first when you say Tell?
It was the first major role for me, and because I was still little girl, treated me of course like a child. But at times it touched me, because after all my experiences, I already felt like a pro! (laughs)
Of course I didn’t compete with adult actors, but I felt that not everyone had to explain everything to me during the filming.
And what about your serial parents, did you play together later?
We haven’t met Hanka Vágnerová, my serial mom, since then. She was great, she talked to me, although of course she didn’t have to …
Míra Nosk, who played my dad, but after years we met in roles where we packed each other. But I still couldn’t forget our previous acting meeting, I still saw the dad in it and I found it perverse to seduce him.
You recently graduated, and if I’m not mistaken, that’s why you ended up in the Blue Code series.
That came with each other then. I have been shooting at Prime since the first year of the conservatory, I went through several series, and after four years I wanted some change. I was in the Blue Code for exactly one year at the time, and I said to myself that it was enough for me and that I had to finish school now.
But before my character was written out by the screenwriters from the script, I already knew that I would be shooting a short story with Zdeněk Troška, The Cursed Feather. For a while, he threatened to start filming just during graduation, but in the end it worked out and it didn’t break out until two days later.
In Zdeněk Troška’s fairy tale The Haunted Feather, she played the country girl Aninka

It was then one of the best shootings I have ever experienced, because Zdeněk Troška is surrounded by great, relaxed people. And because Zdeněk himself is still in a good mood, it is transferred to the place and to others, and there is still a great atmosphere.
It looked like that for a while, but I wanted to get it over with so I could focus on my work.
So you prefer not to postpone your duties? I always wanted to play a princess, as a little girl I wanted to be like Libuška Šafránková
When you are learning a role, don’t you have any last-minute nights before filming
No, I say to myself that I wish luck to those who are ready! My parents have hammered this into my head since I was a child, that as a good pro I always have to be ready.
The Czech audience is quite strict about fairy tales, weren’t you worried about it? )
That’s true, but I always wanted to play a princess, as a little girl I wanted to be like Libuška Šafránková! And it is my dream to this day. So far, I’ve played a girl from the farm in a fairy tale, so now I’d like the princess …
After a hockey goalie, it would be quite useful, wouldn’t it?
Definitely, now it would give me a bit of that feminine self-confidence
Do you have any other current wishes?
In relation to those princesses, it’s a bit of a paradox, but I would finally like to play a more serious role. So far, they still box me into good cute girls. I want to show that I can do something else. So now I would like something more serious or, on the contrary, comedic.
And what kind of comedy should it be? Black or crazy?
I like sarcastic humor, one that is already on the edge for someone, but it doesn’t hurt or offend. But basically I will appreciate any good humor, especially now in a pandemic. Just make people laugh, now we all need it a lot. from Lublin. Doesn’t the theater attract you after school now? ice. It wasn’t until the summer that they decided not to, so I could start arranging another job. Something is being prepared, but it is not the right time to talk about it yet, we will see how it turns out. Plus, I’m superstitious, I don’t want to shout.
Bych I would finally like to play a more serious role. So far, they still box me into good cute girls. I want to show that I can do something else, “says Anastasia.

Let’s go back to sports for a while. You have been dating football goalkeeper Matouš Trmal for some time, who now plays in Portugal. What is it like to maintain a long-distance relationship? when we don’t see each other for a month or two. Because football is quite unpredictable, it’s hard to anticipate anything, but so far it seems that Matouš stays there. And because he can’t travel much because of football and he won’t get to the Czech Republic right away, he will probably only be there for another year and I will commute. Unfortunately, footballers do not have m oc a flexible profession, so I have to adapt somehow. But I went for it. How long do you go there?
Sometimes I manage to stay there for a month. The covid also helped us with that, because all my work was worth it. Thanks to the pandemic, I spent quite a lot of time there with him. And I was a housewife.
How did you like it?
Because nothing much happened and it didn’t matter if I will sit on my ass in Pardubice, in Prague, or in Portugal, of course I preferred to be in Portugal with Matouš. But I can’t imagine myself permanently without work. I couldn’t just take care of my boy or my family …
And as he sees it, is he reconciled?
He certainly is, because he supports me in my work
Where did you meet, somewhere in the match?
No , on Instagram. I liked his photo and he wrote to me the next day. So I actually pushed him a little bit and he caught on. (laughs)
At that time he was fishing in Uherské Hradiště and I was either in Prague or at home in Pardubice, and without social networks, there was not much chance that we would come across each other by chance.
Do you think that your sports past brings you closer?
Definitely yes. Because I did intensive sports myself, I understand what it all means, and I respect that football comes first for Matouš. And sometimes we go to bury together …
Do you play football?
We are such a football family. Two years older brother Sebastian now plays in Jihlava. I have been going to all his matches since I was a child, but I also played myself because I went to a football base. So I’ve been really close to this sport for years. Probably that’s why I finally found a football player, not an actor.
