With the Covid certificate to the autumn fair

If you want to attend this year’s Basel Autumn Fair, you can only get most of the seats with a Covid certificate. Only for a visit to St. Peter’s Square there are no certificate restrictions, as the organizers announced on Wednesday. The news caused a lot of discussion. A survey by Telebasel among young people from Basel also shows a certain skepticism:

The good news remains: The autumn fair can take place this year. This after last year’s anniversary edition had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic. The celebrations for the 550th anniversary will now take place this year.

Berset and light show for the Roche anniversary

Roche is also celebrating an anniversary this year: the pharmaceutical giant may be a few centuries younger, but it was a mess for its 125th birthday. Triumphant advance for “Marriage for All”

Meanwhile, there were already prospects of many more celebrations last Sunday: The “marriage for all” was clearly accepted at the ballot box – also in the two Basels. This means that same-sex couples are now allowed to marry in Switzerland. The deadline is July 1, 2022. From then on, wedding dates are possible. District planning «vanBaerle», which was rejected at the ballot box with only ten votes. Also the event hall “Dom” in Aesch will not be built after the vote will. Ban on begging remains controversial

FCB coach dissatisfied despite victory
