Polygon

Aragon, the open-source framework for launching decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), has partnered with Polygon Labs to offer its infrastructure on the Polygon network. This collaboration aims to provide a cost-effective and accessible solution for creating and managing DAOs.

Polygon DAOs are on🔥!

We’re seeing tons of new organizations launch #onPolygon using the Aragon App 🚀

Ready to join them and be part of a new wave of DAOs in 2023? Here’s how to launch a DAO on polygon with less than 50 cents:https://t.co/lkdWDwc2IQ

By teaming up, they will provide a fast and secure way for users to create DAOs, with no coding skills necessary, for a mere 50 cents. According to Sandeep Nailwal, the co-founder of Polygon Labs, the partnership will make on-chain governance “accessible to everyone in the world,” contributing to the mass adoption of blockchain technology.

The collaboration will leverage Aragon’s lean codebase and Polygon’s layer-2 blockchain, enabling users worldwide to participate in the process at an affordable rate.

It isn’t the first time both platforms have worked together. In September 2021, Aragon’s initial products were launched on Polygon’s platform, resulting in the creation of over 6,000 DAOs.

Aragon’s latest toolkit On Polygon

Aragon’s latest tech stack, launched on the Polygon network, includes a new toolkit for spinning up DAOs. No coding skills are needed to design essential DAO features like proposal creation, governance voting, and community member onboarding, which minimizes technical hurdles and makes the process painless for users.

According to Aragon’s head of growth, Anthony Leutenegger, launching this new toolkit will help fix the existing weak points in DAOs’ structures and decrease participation and voter apathy.

It will also improve voter participation among governance token holders within a DAO. By lowering the cost of voting and executing governance proposals, the network helps solve one of the biggest pain points in DAOs.

Polygon’s scalability features make it a crucial platform for scaling blockchain protocols that handle a large number of transactions. Some of the Web3 projects that rely on the network include gaming DAO Aavegotchi and Lens, a protocol for building decentralized social media networks.

Nevertheless, this partnership will revolutionize the way DAOs operate, making them accessible to a wider audience worldwide. It will enable people to participate in the process at an affordable rate, helping to contribute positively to the mass adoption of blockchain technology.
