The January transfer window is well underway and for Arsenal it could be a very good time to strengthen.
Mikel Arteta’s side have probably exceeded expectations so far this term and find themselves in fourth position in the Premier League, a spot that few would have expected them to hold at this stage of the campaign.
If they’re to maintain that top four push they may need to strengthen their squad.
Several players already look like they’re heading for the exit door this month and that could pave the way for one or two high-profile additions at the Emirates Stadium.
talkSPORT.com brings you all the latest transfer news and gossip from the red half of North London.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is holding out for a move to Europe as speculation swilrls over his future at the club.
Arsenal have reportedly received a loan offer for Aubameyang from TWO clubs in Saudi Arabia.
However fresh reports from the Daily Mail have claimed that the Gabon international would rather stay in Europe if he is to leave the Gunners.
A number of clubs from the continent, including Paris Saint-Germain, are said to be keen on the player.
It is claimed, however that the player’s 300k-a-week wages could prove troublesome if he is to leave the club on loan.
Alexander Isak
Arsenal are considering a move to sign Alexander Isak as they step up their striker search, according to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners are determined to bring in an attacker and have been left frustrated over their pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic.
A deal could be expensive for the Real Sociedad man, however, with the player having a release clause in his contract believed to be worth £75million.
Arthur Melo
Arsenal are hopeful of completing the loan signing of Arthur Melo from Juventus, talkSPORT understands.
Internal talks began at the Emirates last week regarding bringing the Brazilian to the club, and it is now understood that discussions are continuing to progress.
The 25-year-old has been identified as a suitable solution to Arsenal’s midfield woes.
Arthur signed for the Old Lady from Barcelona back in June 2020 but he has only featured for his side 29 times.
Dusan Vlahovic
Vlahovic is hoping to assess his options in the summer, according to Sky Sports News.
The Fiorentina striker has been heavily linked with a number of clubs, most notably Arsenal who are determined to try and do a deal this month.
The 21-year-old’s representatives appear unwilling to talk to Arsenal, but Fiorentina’s general director, Joe Barone, has invited offers.
“Some English clubs showed up with Fiorentina for Vlahovic, but there is no agreement,” Barone said.
“We, in any case, are available.
“In any case, there have been no openings by the agents towards us. And luckily I had asked for clarity.”
