Assassin is Silent But Deadly in I’m Quitting Heroing TV Anime PV

Meines, a shadowy assassin, savors a pleasant cup of tea in a scene from the upcoming I'm Quitting Heroing TV anime.

A new character preview video has been revealed for I’m Quitting Heroing (known in Japan as Yusha, Yamemasu), an upcoming TV anime based on series of light novels written by Quantum and illustrated by Hana Amano about a former hero who volunteers to rebuild the kingdom of the Demons that he previously destroyed in his quest to save the world.

The character PV (below) focuses on Meines (CV: Yumi Uchiyama), the half-human / half-demon leader of the assassin’s guild. Meines rarely talks and has a perpetually emotionless expression, so as a result he has difficulties with public speaking and expressing himself.

The original I’m Quitting Heroing light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo (a division of KADOKAWA), and a manga adaptation featuring artwork by Nori Kazato is also available via the Book Walker app, who describe the story of the series as follows:

After saving the world, the strongest hero Leo became someone who is not wanted in the peaceful human world. He was too strong. Exiled, he seeks a job at the Demon King’s Army, which he had defeated and needs to be rebuilt.
The Army had many problems: too much work, financial troubles, etc. Leo starts to make things better using his power.
Leo encounters Echidna again, and asks her why she invaded the human world. There was an unexpected story—!

A key visual for the upcoming I'm Quitting Heroing TV anime, featuring the main characters Echidna and Leo Demonheart facing off in a fantasy setting with a castle in the background. Echnida scowls and summons fire to throw and Leo, but Leo smiles and offers up a job application form with his free hand while wielding a sword with the other hand.

The I’m Quitting Heroing TV anime is directed by Yuu Nobuta and Hisashi Ishii and features animation production by EMT Squared. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan beginning in April of 2022.
