Audi R8 V10 performance RWD, the new spearhead of sports cars with rear-wheel drive

The new R8 V10 performance RWD is offered in Coupe and Spyder variants and has an extra 30 hp, representing the ideal sports complement for the R8 V10 performance quattro. The new R8 V10 performance RWD sports car gives shape to driving pleasure, with its rear-wheel drive and 419 kW (570 hp) centrally mounted engine.

Audi R8 V10 performance RWD (acronym for Rear Wheel Drive) is the new avant-garde spearhead of rear-wheel drive sports cars in series production of the Audi brand.

The sports car with the central engine catapults from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds (Spyder version: 3.8 seconds) and impresses with a speed maximum speed of 329 km / h (Spyder: 327 km / h).

The essence of the spirit of the new R8 is concentrated in the famous naturally aspirated V10 FSI 5.2 liter engine. For R8 V10 performance RWD this engine generates 479 kW (570 hp) and 550 Nm of torque, distributed on the rear wheels with the help of the 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission.

Audi R8 V10 performance RWD now generates 570 hp

This means an increase of 10 Nm, compared to the Audi R8 V10 RWD. The mechanical locking differential with limited slip distributes torque ideally according to the current situation, which ensures excellent traction, even in wet road conditions.

Same as all models in the R8 range, and this car has a body made of aluminum, based on the concept of lightweight construction Audi Space Frame (ASF), with large components made of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). The coupe version of the R8 V10 performance RWD weighs only 1,590 kilograms and the Spyder version weighs 1,695 kilograms.
