Chicago (USA), Oct 5 (EFE) .- The Bears’ starting running back Chicago’s David Montgomery has a sprained left knee that is expected to keep him out of action for four to five weeks.
According to a source, the 24-year-old Montgomery injured his knee on a five-yard dash in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 24-14 victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
The runner stayed on the grass, holding his knee and had to be helped out of the field. He did not return to the game.
Before the injury, Montgomery had 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and leads the Bears with 309 yards terrestrial and three annotations.
