Bitcoin price broke the main USD 40,000 resistance to start a strong uptrend. It is currently (04:02 UTC) trading near USD 43,200 after briefly spiking to almost USD 44,200.
Similarly, most major altcoins are gaining bullish momentum. ETH was able to clear the USD 2,750 and USD 2,850 resistance levels. XRP surpassed USD 0.75, but it is still below USD 0.80. ADA surged above USD 0.95.

Bitcoin price
Bitcoin price was finally able to surpass the USD 40,000 resistance level. BTC gained 14% in a day and the price even tested the USD 44,000 zone. It is now consolidating gains and might remain supported near USD 42,800. The next key support is near the USD 42,200 level, below which the price may perhaps decline to USD 41,200.
On the upside, the price is facing resistance near the USD 44,000 level. Any more gains might send the price towards the USD 45,000 level.
Ethereum price
Ethereum price gained pace for a move above the USD 2,750 resistance and surpassed the USD 2,900 level, increasing its gains to 11%. If there is a clear move above USD 3,000, the price might rise towards the USD 3,120 level.
On the downside, an initial support is near the USD 2,850 level. The next key support is near the USD 2,800 zone, below which the price might test USD 2,750.
ADA, BNB, SOL, DOGE, and XRP price
Cardano (ADA) started a strong increase above the USD 0.92 resistance level. The price even broke the USD 0.95 and might even surpass the USD 1.00 level in the coming sessions.
BNB is up over 8% and there was a move above the USD 380 resistance. The price even surpassed USD 388 and it might soon clear USD 400. The next major resistance could be near the USD 420 level.
Solana (SOL) is up 12% and there was a clear move above the USD 95 level. If there is a close above the USD 100 level, the bulls might aim for a larger increase. The next key resistance is near the USD 105 level.
DOGE was able to surpass the USD 0.135 resistance, before correcting lower again. If it returns above this level, the next barrier is near the USD 0.142 level. If the bulls remain in action, they might aim for a move towards the USD 0.150 level.
XRP price cleared the USD 0.75 resistance zone. It is now consolidating near USD 0.775. To start a stronger increase, the price must surpass the USD 0.80 resistance zone.
Other altcoins market today
Many altcoins are up over 10%, including LUNA, AVAX, DOT, DOGE, SHIB, MATIC, WBTC, CRO, ATOM, LTC, LINK, BCH, FTT, NEAR, and WAVES. Out of these, LUNA rallied 23% and traded above the USD 88 level, increasing its weekly gains to 75%. Meanwhile, WAVES more than doubled in a week, after it jumped 48% in a day and surpassed the USD 17 level.
Overall, bitcoin price broke many hurdles near the USD 40,000 and USD 42,000 levels. BTC might correct lower, but dips might be limited below USD 42,000.
