Assam chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Landslide victory of @BJP4Assam & coalition parties in Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council elections has reaffirmed people’s faith in our Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji. Congratulations to our karyakartas whose sincere efforts have resulted in this outcome”.
PTIBJP swept the polls in the Thengal Kachari Autonomous council winning 14 seats out 22 seats.

While Congress won four seats, Asom Gana Parishad begged three seats, one seat was won by independent.
