Borrell: The EU is very worried for Kazakhstan

The European Union (EU) is “deeply concerned” about the situation in Kazakhstan, and the deployment of foreign military aid is “reminiscent of situations that must be avoided,” European Union Foreign Minister Josep Borrell said on Thursday.

“Great concern about the situation in Kazakhstan. External military assistance is reminiscent of situations to be avoided,” he said on his Twitter account, following the deployment of a “peacekeeping force” in Kazakhstan by Russia and its allies in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
