Call of Duty uses skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) to create teams with a fair skill distribution. Also, lobbies are disbanded after a match end to again build teams from the ground up. However, those who casually play the game to kill time believe that is an unnecessary feature.
Apparently, Sledgehammer Games are testing out a new feature which lets players stay in the same lobby after a match concludes. Whoever chooses to stay is automatically returned to the pregame screen together. Any empty positions are filled with new players.
Sledgehammer Games appears to have started to test persistent lobbies in MW3 MP. The devs said back in December they would test this feature at some point.

The experimental feature seems to work as intended. Developers previously hinted at its return back in November where they also stated that it would be available for everyone if the test run is successful.
However, the new feature does not completely get rid of SBMM. Even if you stay with your old team, lost members will be replaced accordingly to maintain the skill distribution.
Dataminers also found evidence of two classic weapons– the Kar98k sniper and the SPAS-12 shotgun. Both were spotted amidst game files after the Season 3 update. You might see these popular fan-favorites as part of an upcoming battle pass.
Call of Duty has a lot in store for this year. Recently, a parkour map for Modern Warfare 3 was leaked which will feature a Retrowave look. The map is expected to be available later in Season 3. It will pose a fun challenge based on movements and tactics.
