The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face a Jacksonville Jaguars team that might be missing multiple starting wide receivers this weekend.
The Jags will also be without starting left tackle Cam Robinson after trading him to the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday evening.
With a 2-6 record, the Jags are clearly sellers ahead of next Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline. And with Robinson playing on the last year of his contract, Jacksonville opted to get some compensation now for a player who could leave in free agency. The Vikings, meanwhile, have found a replacement for Christian Darrisaw, who suffered a season-ending injury.
Getting back to the Eagles of it all, they’ll now be seeing Walker Little at left tackle. He just made a start at that spot in Week 8 with Robinson missing the last game due to a concussion.
Little ranks 62nd out of 82 offensive tackles graded by Pro Football Focus this season. He’s allowed five pressures in 73 pass protection opportunities in addition to accounting for three penalties. Robinson ranks 33rd out of 82 tackles while allowing 15 pressures in 228 pass protection opportunities and being penalized three times.
The Eagles must avoid a letdown after a big win against the Cincinnati Bengals and take care of business at home against an inferior Jags team.
