Denounced by the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), a couple from Brasília is appointed as the right arm of the former waiter Glaidson Acácio dos Santos, better known as “Paraó das Bitcoins”. A disjointed billionaire scheme during Operation Cryptos, by the Federal Police in partnership with the Federal Revenue, on August 25, revealed that an important cell of the criminal organization operated in the capital of the Republic.
The investigations showed that the couple formed by the businessman Felipe José Silva Novais, 39, and the lawyer Kamila Martins Novais, 30, generated R$ 281.7 million using two companies to launder the values, including a law firm .
During the fulfillment of the search and seizure warrants, the PF seized worksheets related to the custody of contractual amounts and the client portfolio – updated until November of last year – indicating that Felipe and Kamila laundered the fortune for the Pharaoh of Bitcoins and, therefore, received around R$ 80 million in commission in a period of two years. The two, according to the findings, captured 3,222 customers, who suffered losses after joining the financial pyramid scheme idealized by the former waiter.

And with the installation of the nucleus in the national capital, according to the investigators, its operators obtained an “immense and unjustified patrimony”.
The data highlight that, between 2016 and 2020, the financial transactions of the Novais couple jumped from approximately R$ 217,400 to almost R$ 16.9 million. In the same period, the assets and rights of the two, if added together, went from BRL 244 thousand to about BRL 2.28 million.
Kamila, which in 2018 he worked as an office assistant, with a salary of just over R$ 3,300, says the document, he had “sudden equity evolution”. As for her husband, Felipe Novais, he points out an excerpt from a Federal Revenue report transcribed by the MPF and the PF, he was “self-employed, works in the sale of grains, vehicles and land purchase and sale”.
O Metropolises sought the defense of the couple denounced by the MPF, but was unable to locate it. The space remains open for demonstrations.
