CBI raids on several locations of GAIL director, accused of taking bribe

CBI raided the places of GAIL Director on Saturday. This action has been carried out at their places in Delhi and Noida. This whole case is related to bribery and GAIL director ES Ranganathan has faced serious allegations. An FIR has also been registered against him. During the raid, Rs 1.30 crore and several other essential items have been confiscated.

It is said that ES Ranganathan had demanded bribe through middleman for giving discount on petrochemical products. . It has come to the fore in the investigation that ES Ranganathan had carried out this work through a total of two middlemen. It is being said in some reports that a total of eight places have been raided but it has not been confirmed yet.

For information, let us tell you that GAIL is a proprietary natural gas processing and distribution company. Its headquarter is located in Delhi. For a long time, there were allegations against ES Ranganathan, agencies had also received many types of inputs. Now on Saturday, on the basis of the same inputs, this action was taken and a complaint was registered against the GAIL Director.

Although earlier the CBI had booked the Regional Officer of NHAI Bangalore and four others. Big action was also taken. CBI had arrested four people in connection with the bribe of 20 lakhs. In many cities, the investigating agency had raided, the house of the accused was also raided and then everyone was arrested. About four crore rupees were recovered in that raid.
