At CES 2022 , ASUS also unveiled the new generation of notebooks in the series Strix Scar and Strix G . They now benefit from state-of-the-art hardware, led by the most powerful Intel Gen 12 and AMD Ryzen processors. I also get DDR5 RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSDs. Details about the latest Strix Scar and Strix G series announced by ASUS at the technology fair are below
ASUS ROG Strix Scar
The series includes models with 15.6 and 17 inch diagonal displays, respectively. These are quality IPS panels, with QHD resolution and refresh rate of 240Hz, 165Hz or Full HD resolution and refresh rate of 360Hz. However, all variants receive Dolby Vision HDR support and have a response time of only 3ms. There is also Adaptive Sync technology here which helps gamers to react as quickly as possible during gaming.
A processor Intel Core i9-12900H 12th Generation and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU at 150W with Dynamic Boost for top variants. The storage is improved, as well as the memory, as I said, being present here the DDR5 RAM memory (4800 MHz) and the PCIe Gen 4×4 storage.
Compared to last year’s generation, laptops ROG Strix Scar (2022) receive a larger trackpad that provides more control fine on precision movements. Here we have illuminated keys and more importantly, that illuminated front area compatible with Aura Sync compatible, which allows gamers to display their own style easily.
ASUS ROG Strix Scar G
Din series Strix Scar G include models G15 and G17 , with 15.6 and 17 inch diagonal displays. We have the same unique design, with a lighted area at the front, and the trackpad is bigger.
These models, however, come with AMD CPUs, the top version having Ryzen 9 6900HX as a processor and graphics RTX 3080 Ti from NVIDIA (150W ). These models have quality IPS displays, the 15.6-inch variants coming with Full HD (300Hz) or QHD (165Hz) panels. However, the 17-inch versions come with Full HD (360Hz) or QHD (240Hz) panels.
All models in the Strix Scar and Strix Scar G series have response times of only 3 ms and arrive with Adaptive Sync technology. They will be marketed in the shade of Eclipse Gray, but there are also two neon options, which will definitely stand out. The laptops are equipped with 4 speakers and have a support Dolby Atmos . Here we also have two-way Noise Cancelation that filters background noise for both incoming and outgoing communications.
Notebooks arrive with generous batteries, 90Wh and benefit from 100W charging through a Type-C Thunderbolt 4 port. Also on the connectivity side we find Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5G LAN port.
ASUS has not yet revealed the availability of the new models or the marketing prices. However, we will find out more about them in the coming weeks.
