ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is the world’s first quad-band WiFI 6E gaming router. It turns out that ASUS engineers have managed to unlock the full potential of the four bands – 2.4GHz, two 5GHz and 6GHz bands – with 160MHz channels, in the 5GHz and 6GHz bands respectively. This router thus provides the fastest possible speed for users.
It features a state-of-the-art Broadcom WiFi chipset and a flagship CPU , the maximum capacity of the network being improved by about 18% compared to the previous generation. Data transfers are thus accelerated, and the gaming experience is flawless. In addition to ASUS RF technology , there is also RangeBoost Plus that leverages the full hardware, improving the range of WiFi signal coverage and coverage up to 38%.
On the connectivity side, the Rapture GT-AXE16000 offers d2 10 Gbps ports, a 2 WAN port, 5 Gbps and 4 1 Gbps LAN ports. There are also extra options for those who connect to an ASMesh system from ASUS. For users with 6E WiFi devices, one of the 5 GHz bands can be used as a “ backhaul ”dedicated to the central router, so that the other three bands are free for device connections.
ASUS has not disclosed the price of this router, but we are certainly talking about an amount that exceeds the limits of the imagination. It remains to be seen in the coming weeks in which regions it will be marketed and how much it will cost
