Charges against captain and assistant captain of Vera Su

Charges are brought against the captain and assistant captain of the wrecked ship “Vera Su”. They were detained for 72 hours.

The sailors have been questioned and released, they are about to undergo a customs check.

Investigators from the National Investigation Service, who are expected to arrive in Dobrich, will work on the case.

“Vera Su” was left without a crew. In better weather conditions, the director of the Maritime Administration, Ventsislav Ivanov, and Bulgarian sailors will also board it if the Turkish shipowner does not send his crew.

What will happen to the shipwreck?

The weather is expected to improve, for to inflate the barges that arrived to remove the cargo from the ship. The prosecutor’s office admits that the reason for the jam was a human error.
