How Bayern Munich intends to negotiate the upcoming summer transfer window will be one of the biggest talking points in Germany after the arrival of seasoned tactician Thomas Tuchel, and the former Chelsea boss is rumored to already be targeting one of his former on-field lieutenants at Stamford Bridge for a possible move to Bavaria.
Due to the Blues’ need to jettison a number of senior players in the aftermath of their £600m spending spree across the 2022-23 campaign under new ownership duo Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, Tuchel and Bayern are now said to be looking at a possible move for England international midfielder Mason Mount.
According to an exclusive report in The TimesBayern is considering a move for the 24-year-old and a reunion with Tuchel at the Allianz Arena while taking advantage of the Blues’ growing financial problems and could prize him away from west London in a possible cut-price deal that will be one step of many that Chelsea needs to take in order to get their financial house in order.

Mount is no longer viewed as untouchable at Stamford Bridge under Graham Potter after the club’s heavy spending, with his place in the front three now being occupied players the likes of João Félix, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, and Mykhailo Mudryk.
And with just one year left on his current terms with the capital club, Chelsea would be hard pressed to come to the negotiating table and expect to demand a fee that would historically be outside of Bayern’s preferred price range regarding talent acquisition.
Given the success of both Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham in the Bundesliga in recent seasons, a fresh start for Mount could be just the tonic for the England midfielder, though there surely will be interest from a cadre of Premier League clubs as well.
