The Chief of the Service for Special Investigative Methods of the Criminal Police Directorate Tomislav Radovanović stated tonight that he is “convinced” that there was a parallel structure in the MUP “with precisely selected people” whose goal, as he said, was to collect data on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and his family.

Radovanović said that the group, formed at the time when Nebojsa Stefanović was the line minister, had the logistical and any other support of “one western intelligence service” and that it had established an intelligence network at ” tycoons “and organized criminal groups.

” I can’t say which service it is, but the turning point is probably Minister Stefanovic’s trip to the United States regarding the Guantanamo case which meant the integration and resocialization of two people from that base. “Then, direct contact is made with certain US intelligence structures, and further cooperation probably resulted from those contacts,” Radovanovic told Prva Televizija.

He is confirmed media allegations that as part of the investigation into the Jovanjic case and wiretapping of the President of Serbia, former State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior Dijana Hrkalović, Head of the Belgrade Police Narcotics Department Slobodan Milenković and Inspector Dušan Mitić refused polygraph testing.

“Police Director Vladimir Rebić was on a polygraph but I don’t know the results,” said the head of the Service for Special Investigation Methods of the Criminal Police Directorate.

He assessed that the case of Jovanjic was a “plan B” of that “parallel structure” within the MUP.

“I cannot I separate the case of Jovanjic from the wiretapping of the President of Serbia. As for the wiretapped conversations, I can say that none of them are incriminating and that there is no reason for suspicion. “Since they failed to discredit the president from the first attempt, they switched to plan B and tried to bring Predrag Koluvija in connection with the brother of the president of Serbia,” said Radovanović.
